OUR VISION
This is
A well-lit, well-ventilated modern climbing facility where experienced climbers and newcomers to the sport can improve their skills and connect with like-minded community members.
Fredericton is the only city in southern NB that doesn’t yet enjoy this resource, and we want to build a facility that not only serves the community, but is owned by the community.

FOR MEMBERS
AND THE PUBLIC
PROGRAMMINGS
Here are a few of the things that the new wall will offer once operations are in full swing:
Free Climb
Free climb will be available during business hours when other programs are not occupying the facility. The plan is to offer early morning and evening hours to the general public, and we will develop a schedule in cooperation with members to make sure we meet everyone’s needs.

After school programs
After school programs run September thru June. For gym capacity considerations, a maximum after school group size of 30 children is the initial target for this program, though it may be expanded over time. After school programs are regulated by the Province of New Brunswick.

Skills-development programs
Skills-development programs operate Oct-Dec and Jan-April under supervision of the program director and volunteers. The program has a series of increasingly demanding levels, aimed at teaching and reinforcing good, safe climbing skills to youth. There is no nationally recognized skills development program (as with swimming for example) the program is developed in-house. Skills development programs will occur concurrently with open-gym hours early in the evening.

Private Bookings
The public can book the facility on weekends 12 months of the year. These events will be supervised by staff & volunteers. Facility bookings are an excellent way to try climbing with a group of friends or colleagues and introduce new people to the sport. Bookings often are used for birthday parties, corporate team building, or private competitions, but other types of events are welcome.

Summer Camps
Summer Camps operate for the months of the year that after-school programs are not active, and are designed to provide similar revenue to after school programs. Summer camps will be largely held onsite, but may also include short trips to nearby climbing areas (UNB Woodlot, Welsford NB) if time allows.
